Terms & Conditions
By applying for assessment or certification, the property owner or authorized representative agrees to the terms
outlined below.
1. Scope of Certification
ESESS certification applies solely to the specific property, unit, and configuration assessed at the time
of measurement. Certification does not constitute a general guarantee of health outcomes or future exposure conditions.
- Certification reflects measured EMF conditions at the time of assessment
- Results are limited to the defined measurement locations and conditions
- Certification does not replace compliance with local laws or regulations
2. Measurement Limitations
EMF levels may vary over time due to changes in internal usage patterns, external infrastructure, or environmental factors.
ESESS assessments capture representative conditions but cannot account for all possible future variations.
- Short-term peaks and intermittent sources may occur outside measurement windows
- External sources are not controlled by the certification body
- Natural variability is inherent to electromagnetic environments
3. No Medical or Health Claims
ESESS certification is a technical and environmental classification based on EMF measurements.
It does not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or a guarantee of health benefits.
- No claims are made regarding prevention or treatment of medical conditions
- Individual sensitivity to EMF may vary
- Certification does not imply universal suitability for all individuals
4. Responsibilities of the Property Owner
The property owner or authorized representative is responsible for:
- Providing accurate and complete information during intake
- Ensuring access to all relevant areas during assessment
- Notifying of changes that may affect EMF conditions after certification
- Using certification marks and statements in accordance with ESESS guidelines
5. Use of Certification Status
Certification status, category names, and related materials may be used only as permitted by ESESS.
Misrepresentation of certification status is strictly prohibited.
- Certification applies only to the certified property
- Category names must not be altered or reinterpreted
- Expired or revoked certifications must not be displayed
6. Corrective Actions and Reassessment
If a property is classified as Unsafe or if post-certification changes occur,
corrective actions and reassessment may be required.
- Mitigation recommendations do not guarantee certification upon reassessment
- Reassessment fees and conditions may apply
- Certification may be suspended if material changes are not disclosed
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ESESS and its assessors shall not be liable for:
- Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- Changes in EMF exposure beyond the assessed conditions
- Decisions made by occupants or third parties based on certification status
8. Updates to Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions may be updated to reflect changes in methodology, standards, or operational requirements.
The most current version applies at the time of certification or reassessment.
Continued use of certification services constitutes acceptance of the current Terms & Conditions.
